The Education Foundation for Clinton City and Anderson County Schools will be having a raffle to raise funds for technology for the school systems.

1st Prize: $5,000

2nd Prize: $500

3rd Prize: $500

The drawing will be held at the Clinch River Antique Fall Festival on October 7, 2016 and you do not need to be present to win.

Rules for The Education Foundation Raffle:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a ticket.
  • Winners will have 30 days after they are notified to claim their prize with proper identification or forfeit the prize to The Education Foundation.
  • The event is subject to the sale of a maximum of 2000 tickets.
  • Tickets will be drawn down to 25 tickets, an attempt will be made to contact the final 25 ticket holders and a time given for the final 25 to be drawn in a reverse raffle.
  • All proceeds will benefit Clinton City and Anderson County Schools for educational purposes.

Reverse Raffle Details

The Education Foundation for Clinton City and Anderson County Schools will hold the drawing for the state-approved reverse raffle on October 7th at the Clinch River Antique Fall Festival in downtown Clinton. The drawing will occur on the main stage in the gazebo area off Market Street. Ticket sales will end at 3:00 PM. The Education Board will begin drawing tickets down to the last 25 ticketholders at 4:00 PM. The remaining 25 ticket holders will be notified by telephone in the event they would like to be present for the final drawing at 6:30 PM. There will be a grand prize of $5,000 awarded and two $500 prizes. Ticketholders do not need to be present to win, but will have 30 days after notification to claim their prize with proper identification. Plans are to escort to winners to be announced at the Clinton High School Football game to be announced at half-time of the game with a check presentation.

All money raised will be utilized for technology for both the Clinton and Anderson County Schools. Many of the schools are working towards getting Chrome books or MacBooks to be utilized by students and teachers. Tickets are still available for a cost of $20 each to persons 18 years of age or older. There will be a maximum of 2,000 tickets sold which make this very good odds for the winners. Tickets will be available at home football games or you may stop by the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce office, Hoskins Drug Store or Clinton Physical Therapy Center to purchase.

The Education Foundation has provided over $70,000 in teacher grants and has provided $174,000 in college scholarships at Clinton High School and Anderson Country High School through the ACES Program beginning with the class of 2007. The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds, foster academic development, invest beyond what tax dollars provide, develop teachers, encourage community involvement, and reward academic excellence.
